Whoa Nelly!

Today makes day 8...Still going strong.

I would like to post everyday but life gets in the way. I am 14lbs down, and given the fact that I have to handle food everyday and talk myself out of trying to eat any because I have gone so far and already see the effects. Three weeks ago at the doctors office I weighed myself and discovered I weighed 262lbs. YES! Dear Friends, my last name should have been changed to HUTT and I should be naked in the corner of a room licking my lips and keeping my arms from moving lower than my breastbone.

However, as of yesterday I am happy to report that I am 248lbs. Yes... That would mean that I lost 14lbs in 1 week by drinking NOTHING BUT WATER. Doing this for weights now is keeping me going, because it is kind of hard. I handle Oreos and Entenmman's and fast food all day giving snacks to the kids, or packing the husband's lunch and it's like okay... is 1 going to kill me? Will this be the last oreo in the world? What if by the time I end this fast Nabisco discontinues them? Yes, ridiculous thoughts like these cross my mind, and I have to walk away, go to sleep or go drink a huge glass of water.

So far I feel GREAT! No side effects other than the acne that has exploded all over my face leading me to believe my body must be a cesspool of toxic waste--but other than that---I AM AWESOME! I feel like the acne is a distraction, it should make me stop. But you know what? It gives me something to do other than eat. Good thing right?

Congratulations! Health is so important, but it isn't always easy to maintain - and in our society, bad habits abound. Good for you and best of luck on your journey.
